NICHIA
Inventor of the blue and white LED
Thirty years ago, Nichia succeeded in developing the world's first bright blue LED, which was a hundred times brighter than anything before it. In 1996, Nichia succeeded in producing the world's first white LED by combining a blue LED with yellow phosphor.
Today, the Japanese company is not only the world market leader in the LED sector with a wide range of products, but also a pioneer and innovator in the field of LEDs. Nichia LEDs impress with their long service life, efficiency and brightness. Nichia's focus is primarily on light-emitting diodes with an input of less than one watt. These LEDs are therefore particularly suitable for the production of LED modules.
Nichia also has an extensive portfolio of UV LEDs.
